Dear All,
We are still looking to fill a Permanent/ Full Time positions in Sao Paolo, Brazil. We need very motivated Junior Developers that possess strong programming background in Java or C++, or any other object oriented languages that are interested in learning our clients own proprietary development language and database to support their Fixed Income Division in Brazil ( Sao Paulo) . They must be fluent in native Portuguese and English. They are willing to look at candidates without Financial Industry experience. However we must have the polish and communication skills of a wall street candidate.
This is an urgent need for our client and they are looking to move quickly They will phone interview the candidate first and then if they pass, They will schedule them to meet with the team in Brazil. Brazil Trading Desk Technology – Junior Developer
Skills/Experience Required: Familiarity with one or more object oriented or structured programming language, such as: C/C++, Java, C#, Smalltalk, Python or Ruby; Familiarity with relational or object databases, such as Sybase, Oracle, UDB; Working knowledge of both Unix and Windows XP; Experience of test driven development would be advantageous. Experience Some level of programming experience involving Object Oriented Principles would be a plus. Language Skills Native Portuguese speaker; Fluent English. Interpersonal skills: Genuine interest in the business; Outgoing personality, with excellent communication skills; Strong team player; highly motivated. The firm currently has a banking license, through which it operates its fixed income and foreign exchange activities, and is in the process of expanding its business footprint in a wide set of areas: equity, distressed debt, commodity, etc.In order to better support this expanding business, we are looking at establishing a local desk support presence, that will be part of the broader Latin America technology team, which already comprises a group of 5 people based in New York, who are currently providing remote desk support. The initial goal is to have a two-person application team in Sao Paulo, which may grow over time as the business evolves. This local team will be composed of an experienced developer, who will be the local team lead, and a more junior developer. It will work in very close synergy with the group in New York, and will report to the Latin America technology manager who is based there. As a result of its local presence, this team will have a very close interaction with a broad array of businesses and will develop a deep understanding of the local market and actors.

Responsibilities: Skills/Experience Required: At least 3 years of programming experience with an in-depth understanding of Object Oriented Principles; Prior experience with business/client facing role preferred. Technical Skills Significant design and development experience in one or more object oriented or structured programming language, such as: C/C++, Java, C#, Smalltalk, Python or Ruby; Strong design and architecture skills; Experience in relational or object databases, such as Sybase, Oracle, UDB; Good working knowledge of an RPC/SOA platform such as CORBA, RMI or EJB; Working knowledge of both Unix and Windows XP; Experience of test driven development would be advantageous. Language Skills Native Portuguese speaker; Fluent English. Interpersonal skills: Genuine interest in the business; Outgoing personality, with excellent communication skills; Strong team player; highly motivated. The team overall responsibilities will be three-fold: Provide direct desk support, primarily (but not only) through the proprietary trading platform, SecDb; Development of further desk functionalities, in close relationship with the local business stakeholders; Directly interact with the local external parties (service providers, financial intermediaries, clients) to develop local technical specification which development may either be tackled locally or in conjunction with the global technology teams.
